Dr Nick Azizi's clinical background includes extensive hospital experience, led by several years in emergency medicine and complemented by work in intensive care, anaesthetics and surgical rotations. In emergency medicine, he progressed to advanced trainee level, assessing and managing a broad range of acute and complex presentations. During overnight shifts, he took senior clinical responsibility for the department, coordinating care and supporting the wider emergency team. His surgical rotations added skill and experience and provided the practical foundations he applies to skin and other procedures in general practice.
In 2015, Dr Azizi transitioned from hospital medicine into general practice. His acute-care background continues to inform how he assesses and manages new symptoms, chronic illness and complex presentations in which several health issues overlap. This breadth of experience provides a strong clinical perspective and informs how he coordinates care with other doctors, allied health professionals and the wider healthcare team.
His principal areas of interest are chronic disease management, mental health, men’s health, skin cancer checks and skin procedures. His skin procedures include biopsies and the excision of selected skin cancers, as well as some benign skin lesions.
He also sees patients for Workers’ Compensation matters.
Procedural care is also an important part of his practice. In addition to skin procedures, he provides selected general practice procedures, with treatment options considered following an individual clinical assessment.
